The Art & Science of Scaling 

The previous section established the structural conditions that shape any African scaling venture. We now turn from context to framework: what scaling is, how it differs from growing, what attributes distinguish ventures that scale from those that raise and stall, and the three pathways through which African scaling actually happens. The framework is calibrated to the context already established - a scaling model that ignored what we previously documented would likely not survive contact with the African operating environment.
