Three years on, AI has restructured the mechanics of competitive advantage across every sector African scaling ventures operate in. The capability trap, the misaligned incentive engine, and the capital architecture mismatch operate independently of AI. AI deployed within those structures reproduces them in new forms. AI also changes the practical achievability of the structural interventions earlier sections have called for. How governments, DFIs, foundations, and investors respond to the AI inflection will determine whether the six feedback loops accelerate dysfunction or enable structural reform.
